Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – Rammi Cohen

Rammi Cohen, 63, (IDF Col. Res.), holds a master's degree in military studies (strategy and national security) from the Superior War College (ESGA) in Paris, and a bachelor's degree in general history from Tel-Aviv University. Cohen has rich experience in managing military and civilian systems and is well acquainted with public and governmental organizations.

In recent years, Cohen has specialized in heading organizational processes, strategic planning processes, economic and financial analysis in a wide variety of industrial, economic, public administration, organizational counseling, and managing human resources fields. Cohen was a partner in leading privatization and biding processes in the "Israeli aerospace industry", business entities and local governments and headed planning in the government sector (including strategic planning in the Ministries of Tourism and the "Development of the Negev and Galilee").
 
A field that Mr. Cohen had been very involved in in recent years was business-operational and financial continuity in times of emergency in central governmental agencies such as the "Bank of Israel", the State Comptroller, and the Capital Markets, Insurance and Savings Division of the "Ministry of Finance", the "Government Companies Authority" and the Governmental Telecommunications Board and its divisions.

During his service in the Air Force and Intelligence Branch, Cohen served in a variety of commander and staff posts, including commanding an Air Force base, heading the Operational Security Division, Commander of the Airborne Rescue And Evacuation Unit 669, etc.
