An expert mission from Israel was requested to visit the Philippines and to submit proposals for the establishment of a Herdbook registration and Recording of Production Data concerning the country’s dairy herd.
The mission, organized by the Center for International Cooperation (MASHAV) of Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its professional arm, the Center for International Agricultural Development Cooperation (CINADCO) of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, visited the Philippines from March 11 to March 23, 2003. The one member mission was made up of Mr. Daniel Hojman, (Ms.Sc.Agr.), from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development /Extension Services Division/ Dairy Cattle Department. Mr. Daniel Hojman is a member of the Israeli National Herdbook Commission and is an expert on the use of Herdbook registered information for management purposes at dairy farms.
