The Agricultural Census as a Database for the Allocation of Gueast Workers in 2012
Workers

The Population, Immigration and Borders Authority in the Ministry of the Interior, and the Ministry of  Agriculture and Rural Development hereby announce that as of May 30, 2011, a census will be taken that will serve as a database for the allocation of permits to employ guest workers in agriculture in 2012. Authorities will be entitled to determine that the data conveyed within the census' framework is sufficient to serve as a basis for allocating permits in the years following, when the calculation relative to each year will be executed subject to the overall workers quota to be determined for agriculture, keys set for that year (allocation premiums) and valid government decisions.

Farmers are invited to turn to their district Ministry of Agriculture offices, according to the list published below, to receive a census booklet (hereinafter - the booklet). The booklet is to be filled out according to the enclosed instructions with all of the required documentation attached and submitted with the relevant Ministry of Agriculture district office, no later than Sunday, October 9, 2011. Any booklet not filled out in accordance to its enclosed instructions and/or not submitted by the published deadline, will not be accepted and/or handled by the district. Any farmer who does not submit the census booklet on time will not be eligible to receive permits to hire guest workers from the Population Authority for 2012 and subsequent years, until the date of the next census.
