Ministry's Director General

Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – Shlomo Ben Eliyahu.
Born in 1955, Mr. Ben Eliyahu is married with four children, a resident of Jerusalem, a graduate of the Bar Ilan University's Law School, and a practicing attorney since 1983. He is a Major in the reserve corps. In 1999 he served as the Director General of the Ministry of Housing, and later as Director of the Israel Land Administration for many years. He then served as Director General of the Settlement Division of the WZO (World Zionist Organization). Ben Eliyahu was also as an advisor and asset administrator, a guest lecturer at the Academic Center of Law and Science college (Sha'arei Mishpat), and the acting Director General of Moriah Jerusalem Development Company, engaged in planning and implementation of development and construction projects. From 2013 to 2015 he served as Director General of the Ministry of Construction. At the request of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Uri Ariel, in the 20th Knesset Mr. Ben Eliyahu is the Director General Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
