EXAMPLE:

In a home garden on easy soil in the coastal plain region, there are 100 square meter (m2) grass, flowers covering a 25 m2 area and other bushes and plants covering a 50 m2 area.

During the summer, we will water the grass once a week with:

2450 liters = 7 (days) X 100 (m2) X 3.5 (liters per square meter per day)

For the flowers that will be watered every 4 days we will allocate:

500 liters = 4 (days) X 25 (m2) X 5.0 (liters per square meter per day)

And for the bushes which will be watered every 20 days we will provide:

1500 liters = 20 (days) X 50(m2) X 1.5 (liters per square meter per day)

*1. The area calculated for watering trees is the view projection area of the tree (even if the

tree is watered at a small number of local points).

 2. Fruit trees situated in another watered area of the garden will receive a relative increment.
